The CCHALES Research Collective in partnership with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office has developed a year-long professional development series focused on building the skills, competencies, and actions of campus educators involved with the Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) Program and Guided Pathways change efforts. Composed of six two-hour webinars across the 2024-2025 academic year, the Equity Starts Today professional learning series blends practitioner action and research insight to offer learning opportunities that empower equity advocates to foster more equitable and inclusive institutions, ultimately enhancing the educational experiences and outcomes of students experiencing disproportionate impact. As a professional learning series, we aim to ensure that participants not only gain knowledge but also develop the tools and community necessary to foster racial equity at their respective campuses.
